As one of his very first acts as president, Barack Obama signed an executive order to close the military prison for terror suspects within a year. The one-year mark came and went last week, but the prison remains open. Obama has not offered a new deadline. In Washington, DC, 42 activists with Witness Against Torture were arrested while protesting the missed deadline.
