Glasgow Antifacist Demonstration 14th Nov 2009

The reason for the marches was the unwelcome planned visit by the racist so-called "Scottish Defence League" or "SDL". There is a version of the racist organisation in Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and England which organises racist and bigoted attacks on Blacks or non-protestants. Each "Defence League" is preceded by the name of where they operate, only the one in Northern Ireland is preceded by the name "Ulster". The English, Welsh and Scottish versions are modelled on the notorious UDL in northern Ireland, only in the rest of Britain it is Blacks rather than Catholics whom they have terrorised.
