Poison-Free New Zealand Anti-1080 Protest in Hamilton Sunday 15-11-09

On Sunday 15 of November the was an anti-1080 poison free New Zealand protest in Hamilton. Protest co-organiser was Mischele Rhodes of Health Freedom Waikato. At least 200 people were at the protest aimed at stopping the use of poisons such as 1080 and brodifacoum by the Conservation Department. This was part of nationwide demonstration happening in many main centres. Many people came from all around the greater Waikato. A lot of the public were supportive many signing a petition and a lot of people driving past tooting in support. There was also a bridge to bridge race earlier in the day and some runners from that joined the march.
